Oceania International Novice Figure Skating Competition 2019

The second Oceania International Novice Figure Skating Competition was held at the O'Brien Ice Arena in Melbourne on 15 to 17 May 2019. The event is a wonderful opportunity for Australian Novice athletes to participate at an international level in their own country. WAISA was extremely proud of the seven athletes who traveled to Melbourne last week and, whilst competition was challenging, all Western Australian athletes skated well under the pressure of their very first international event. Congratulations to the following athletes:

• Basic Novice Ladies: Paige Phillips and Kaylee Walton
• Intermediate Novice Ladies: Lara Bezuidenhout, Cadence Buckley and Tahlia Murray
• Novice Ladies: Abbey Williams and Olivia Fluri

The Oceania International Novice FSC is an annual event and WAISA hopes to see many more of its Novice skaters taking to the ice at the competition in the future.
